Extend rear arms

Post by DMAT »

was there any form of an extended rear arm for the rc10?

Id like to try running b4 universals in the rear but need like 1/2" extra on each arm vs the stock arms.

I don't usually say this, but use the search feature-

There are 3-5 dozen threads with tons of posts on this subject.

just gonna put it out there but the search filter is frustrating.

It omits half the words i search every time.

Just say i search extend rear arms. it omits rear and arms.

Its gotten to where im just in the tech section going down the pages until i find what I want now.

90% of the info you need is here

if your going to run b4 cvds, your going to need to change arms, hub carriers, and b4 need some wheels

yes, it is not a super search engine.

you can go to advanced search in google and type in the text you want to search, and select 'www.rc10talk.com' for the website and it will give you matches without ignoring words.

alternatively the top two threads in this tech section should give you PLENTY of information regarding arms and the various options you can try to use later model parts, b4, b44, etc.

long story short RPM made longer rear 'worlds' arms and intended to have you narrow the chassis. these can be used (though very hard to find), dynotech makes a version for the klein sprint car that are almost identical and what most guys run.

alternatively you can use standard arms, B4 hubs, and B44 cvds with some spacer shenanigans to get what you want. this uses B4 wheels in the rear.

If I ever raced, would this be considered legal?

and yea, on one of scr8p's threads, it went klein arms, b4 carrier, and it should work. still searching on the hinge pins at moment

I really have no plans on which wheels to run. once im in 3/16" theres so many possibilities. I do want to get my talons running again, those were fun.
