I'm in the process of cleaning & going through all my r/c stuff for my new hobby room. Yesterday I attacked the garden shed and came across this. I knew I had it but couldn't remember where.
This is a wind up metal toy that moves along the surface while blowing air out of the trumpet with a little foam ball. Yes it still works fine as you can see in the pic. On the back it says made in Japan by KO. The last pic but my camera is having difficulty in focusing on it.
Now the story how i acquired it is interesting to say the least. I got from my mates uncle. He is David Bowden the Australian Muscle car collector. He was a opportunist and must have purchased a heap of these. This was over 20 yrs ago. No scratches and works perfect. I always store it with no wind up pressure on the stop mechanism . Toy is made in the 1950's.
The story began in year 94 when you buy the car YZ-10 and sold it to an undesirable person that I did not pay, long after I returned it broken and now I want to restore it with your help
I have sorted thru the mess, separated what I thought was RC10 and what I deemed Schumacher. Fixing to read thru the manuals and parts listings and try and inventory what I have, and what I need. :?

See the little black knob, right side of the radio? That's the throttle/brake, super cool indeed
Im thinking of getting the new ESE. I can't race my 1:1 this year because of my back deal but they have RC races at all the events so Im thinking I might as well do that.
With that said I am clueless about all the modern electrics. What do I need?...

Same with me. I am not preaching to anybody. Castle is all that I have owned. I really think any brushless system is better than not. You don't need to get crazy with the high KV rating motors and 3s Lipos. I think the insane speed that always gets...
Hello, I am new to this site and RC's. Is the a site or link available that I can learn how basic RC electronics work.

The radio control frequency would be the only main issue I can think of. The cars/controllers have to be on different frequency channels for them to work independantly from one another. You can look at either transmitter or reciever and see what...
So I am considering the following items and was wondering for feedback on the choices, I currently have a Spektrum Dx3e that I am trying to reuse with this build if at all possible, at most I would want to do some mild club racing with it...

Servo:
-Futuba FP.S148 x3..........they arent that strong but im not racing so these...

Just a though, If i treated the numbers like a brushless, the 25k rpm over what is likely 7.2 V puts the motor a little over 3500KV rating which is about 11 turns. I'm trying to find out if the motor is or isnt 11 turns b/c i'd really prefer reverse...
