Can anyone tell me the difference between XXT bodies?
What is the difference between Losi XXT body A8016 and A8017?
Any good sources to purchase them?

From what I can tell the front shock tower hump looks slightly different, hard to tell on a photo of a clear body.

I wonder if it is the XXT versus the XXTCR body...the CR body had a more "dodge" style front end, the standard did not.

Thats probably what it is. It looks like these are still available from a few places but have been long discontinued.

Re: Can anyone tell me the difference between XXT bodies?
You are correct JK - the CR & CR Graphite+ I understand both had the XLong chassis as opposed to the regular 'Long' chassis that the original XXT came supplied with (the XX buggy had the STD length & there was a short option aswell).JK Racing wrote:I wonder if it is the XXT versus the XXTCR body...the CR body had a more "dodge" style front end, the standard did not.
Both shells are pretty much identical bar the shape around the front - I found this out when I un-wittingly brought a XXT shell to fit on my XXT CR G+ - luckily I spotted the error before drilling the pre-marked holes in the shell, with the front holes drilled to accept the more forward body posts (by virtue of the longer chassis) the shell fits fine but it does sit a little higher at the front due to the new holes being drilled further down the sloping front effectively pushing the shell upwards when fitted.
The difference is highlighted when I tried to apply the grill/light decal from the Graphite Plus sheet onto the shell - the front flat area on the original XXT shell is shallower so there is not enough room to include the bumper part of the decal - which I had to cut off

Sadly these look like they are no longer available, one place had them for about £20 which is about $40

Are you after one? I am sure I have a spare CR one..failing that I have this one for sale (minus the decals), its brand new and not been used, already cut out and mountedRC10th wrote:Sadly these look like they are no longer available, one place had them for about £20 which is about $40

Looks killer and thanks for the offer. I was going to use them as a source for a modern body as they looked like they were still available, but wouldn't if they aren't being made anymore.
