You can look back in the ebay auction history if it's still there, contact the seller, and ask nicely if they'll tell you the username or send a note on your behalf to the seller with your contact info. Or you can just look in the seller's feedback history and maybe determine who the buyer was if they left feedback.nvxwax wrote:I wish i could, id like to know who got itflipwils11 wrote:You gotta get that red transmission that was on fleabay to complete this thing and do it up proper!

Re: Nvxwax's Trailing Arm Hot Trick Build (The Start)
Mine is a re-anodize by the same guy in New Mexico that did the Rio Rancho RC10. It is very close to the original Hot Trick red color.nvxwax wrote:Thanks guys, Yeah its a neat setup, I like different things lol
lexus-5,
I missed that trans setup alsono funds at the time lol, if i'm not mistaken it didn't go very high either
I am trying to get someone to anodize a motor plate and front skid for now, I'm hoping to find some originals in new condition at some point lol.
Is your motor plate a HT part or a re anodized AE part?
Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.

Re: Nvxwax's Trailing Arm Hot Trick Build (Upadted 03/12/12)
Ok time to update this thread, I have made a little progress on the HT build.
Added some alloy wheels (Not sure of the brand, Maybe someone can help)
Wrapped the wheels with some vintage proline tires (I had a bunch left over from the tire lot lol)
Satin Polished some bottom load shocks (I liked the way the looked on my New BBT build)
Installed a Twister Mod Motor because its read lol
Used a litesink motor plate, I might change it out when the red one arrives (Held up for a bit in china)
Im still working on linkage, I dont have anything that will work with that HT design bellcrank, I have almost given up on it and have a message out to a member for another option that would remove the HT parts altogether lol
Thats about it for now, Do you think the wheels/tires look right on this build? Or should i go with some RCP/Losi Front and Rear Alloy Centerline Covers like i used on my A&L Build

Look like Mini-Mags to me.nvxwax wrote: Added some alloy wheels (Not sure of the brand, Maybe someone can help)
BTW if you linked the rear hub carriers to the rear bulkhead instead of onto the arm like it is how does camber change during compression?

Im not sure what effect it would have if the links were hooked to the bulkhead, The rear carriers are at a weird angle you cant see from the pictures, It might bind up a little setup that way.

It may or may not bind but you will definitely get lots of negative camber as the suspension compresses.

I really like the silver shock contrast with the red. No matter what the real quality of Hot Trick stuff is, it sure seems to be well suited to shelfer status!

Thanks Adam,
I might change out the trans for a white 48 pitch thorp 6gear when my red motor plate arrives, Id like to use the MIP and Litesink motor plate on my New BBT
I like the silver shocks also, I have been up in the air for a wile on what shocks to use, Gold would kust look funny on a car with all red, silver and white parts.

Re: Nvxwax's Trailing Arm Hot Trick Build (Updated 05/03/12)
Here are the weekend Updates
Finally got the HT bellcranks hooked up, what a pain in the a$$.... Also mounted a Protech ody, This body was for my A&L car but after cutting on it i found it did not cover the A&L chassis lol, So it went on this car, It actually fits pretty good, a lot easyer to mount then the A&L car, The front is not quite as close to the front skid as i would have liked but like i said it was cut for the A&L then moved to this build lol

Re: Nvxwax's Trailing Arm Hot Trick Build (Updated 05/12/12)
that car is hawt!
i bet it wouldn't last 4 minutes without bending something, but it sure looks cool as hell. nice shelfer for sure!
