Re: RC10B2 Restoration project
Sorry to hijack this thread.
Can we just clarify real quick:
body #6133 is for RC10B2 (non-'Sport' versions)
body #6140 is for RC10B2 'Sport' Edition
and,
body #6142 is for RC10B3 (early)
body #6154 is for RC10B3 (later) - AKA the "Deja-Vu Tu" body
Does this seem correct?

Re: RC10B2 Restoration project
Did you assemble the turnbuckles yet? I had some issues with mine. OldRc had 2 sets in stock. Ordered one and found one of the short turnbuckles had messed up threads. Just could not get the ball cup to thread on. Ended up ordering the second set and found it also had one that had a thread issue. Under magnification the threads visually did not look finished - very burr-y. Both were a LH thread. I guess they didn't check their parts 100% when running.
Just curious how you make out.

Re: RC10B2 Restoration project
Well hopefully you have a good set. I'm going to try and salvage a set by seeing if I can chase the threads. If I'm unsuccessful I'll have some spares if you need them!

Re: RC10B2 Restoration project
Ok big update here. So i got the new tranny attached to a new chassis. Also installed a set of new RCPS titanium turn buckles. The lower rear plate without cutout for the tranny will be ready in a few days. Just realized the screws on the rear tower are backwards...

Damn! You must know someone who knows someone that knows someone to get a hold of these kinds of partsmikea96 wrote:Nope the tranny, motor plate and that brace came from a Associated driver from the mid 90's
