Re: Can I dye these?
euh, what color are you thinking of?
These are available in yellow, green and blue also.
Other dish wheels with 12 mm hexes can be found for the cyclone D4 (white), desert gator (metalic grey) and ultima RB5 & lazer ZX5 (yellow and white)
3-racing or atomic makes nice black spokes also for the lazer: ask rc-chick.

I don't think the Evader BX wheels use a hex, the axle looks like this:

Re: Can I dye these?
oops broken link
I asked there support because I wanted the blue ones.
after some backand forth they confirmed it uses 12 mm hexes, but I didn't feel real confident with their answer so I didn't order.

Like someone went into the warehouse to actually look...
More like they asked someone else in the office who didn't know either. And then back to RTF helis and planes...

Hey would these "CVDs" work on our buggies? I mean do they thave to proper length? They look a bit weak but they are surely cheap!

I asked the support of duratrax, not the tower support. I thought they'd have some idea but the designers office was probably at the far end of the hall-way. "If you think I'm gonna move my healthy *** all the way downthere for a lousy distributor to make 20 cent profit..." Like I said , I got the answer I hoped for, but it wasn't convincing so I didn't order.templeofspeed wrote:Like someone went into the warehouse to actually look...![]()

Never thought of dyeing the kyosho ones, and now the tires are already glued on

I also asked for the axle size and they said it was 5mm, but tower states a size in inches that's just a tad smaller

Now , if you look closer to the pics you can see there's a tiny stepdown on the axle, so it could be 5 mm for the bearing and US-sized for the wheel, not?
Doesn't anyone here know someone who owns a duratax evader? I sure would like to find out about the bearing sizes etc.

Easiest way is to check the manuals. Where else butMr. ED wrote: Doesn't anyone here know someone who owns a duratax evader? I sure would like to find out about the bearing sizes etc.

What a plethora of good, useful, and snappy information. This is why I love this board.

Re: Can I dye these?
Thanks Terry,
I checked and the exploded view and partlist (http://manuals.hobbico.com/dtx/dtxc0022-exploded.pdf) gave it away: no hexes in the rear. Sofar for the reliability of the info from ther support
Front bearings are 3/15 by 3/8", rear 5 by 11mm Nice mix of imperial and metric
The universals of the BX or nitro BX CVD's may still be fittable to an rc10: if you are prepared to replace the rear carriers and put 5x10 mm bearings. (you'll have to ream the hinge holes a bit bit for the asso hinge pin: 3mm on the evader)
From the stepdown on the axle and the 3/16" locknut I think these axles should work with asso wheels?
You can find the length on towers site. Only question remaining: will the dogbone side of the drives fit the outdrives of our gearbox? (I think it will)
Stil would like to find someone who has one of these cars: to check a couple dimensions in detail. Anybody?
( don't point me to the duratrax support link
