It's taken me years to source one of these and it didn't come cheap. At some point I will attempt another box art scheme. Damn, I am just so happy I simply had to share this with you guys.

Can anyone confirm if the rerelease Optima shell is identical to the original or if not what the differences are.
I have a genuine original sticker set but no shell to go with it at this stage

Technically, if Kyosho created a new mold for the reissue Optima body, the reissue body may be considered different (even if similar). I can't speak for every mold Kyosho once had. Maybe they used the original body mold in the case of the Optima....

These had dogbones from the factory with the W-5061 universals being optional. I don’t know if there were any aftermarket cvds.. The spur gear should be regular 48 pitch, the Lazer ZXR and Triumph were some of the first Kyoshos to switch to 48...

And finally over the Christmas break, I got the car mostly rebuilt.
Still need a couple of (fairly obvious) parts.
But it looks so nice now in a Carbon Fibre.

I have been looking for one of these for years. This was the first non silver-can motor I bought BITD. I still have the remnants of my original can and endbell. I ran this so much that the comm wore out. This one came up on Ebay a couple weeks ago...

Well i finally found a gold pan buggy to make a runner it a pretty clean a stamp car... 6 gear trans seems ok all the suspension parts have a redish maroon tint to em... Is there any way to make em white? I have heard peroxide? Will the 6 gear hold...

Yep.

That's why his shop is shut while he does this and make room to store all the bodies.

He sold over 200 just after X Mass and had to shut the shop down as he ran out of Lexan.

The new Vucume forming machine is giving excellent results & all...
