I went to the AMS in Cullman, AL yesterday to watch all the pros, that was an amazing experience. Nitros are alive and well! The E-buggies were boring in comparison. Maifield is the man, he walked away from everyone in Truggy. In buggy Tebo was on fire and outclassed everyone. That being said, I just opened a track up by my house and E-buggy is our biggest class by FAR. You don't need to spend anywhere near $1500 to be competitive. We have some of the fastest guys in TN (Chassis and tire sponsors) and I can hang with them with my cheap ass Hot Bodies VE8 with a Hobbywing setup.

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

I would never dick around with nitro when you can have this much fun with just a 4s lipo. The brakes, the instant power rush.... This is a good video from today of my RC8Be (my 7 year old took it with my phone) clearing the big gap in the beginning of the vid.

Bump!

Got the Rc8be out last night and went to a local park and baseball diamond. Again I can't adequately describe how fun and well balanced 1/8th scale 4wd electric is. The power is stupid but also something about the weight and handling characteristics seems to strike a perfect physics chord for scale speed and realism. The 1/10th scale stuff always seems a bit more like a toy due to the size but more-so power to weight. The mass of the 1/8th scale 4wd just feels much more real when you come into a turn, apply some brake in the loose dirt of a baseball diamond, and the thing sucks itself down like a full scale stadium truck would. Tons of fun and with the 4wd and crazy lipo power, the acceleration out of said turn is a thing to behold. Awesome.

Also had a few driving error cartwheels; I can't believe the abuse these rigs can take.

Cool thread, I scored a serpent cobra be ages ago for a steal $300 aud with a tekin system installed an only used once on astro.. really have to pull my finger out an get it going.. Only had quik run at track an it was a handful due to the setup.. I get sidetracked very easily an have to sort it out. Sorry no pics yet but it uses two 2s batteries one either side of chassis which was quite unique though there are a couple with similar layout now..
