Need Opinions Please
Let me get right to it. I started fabing sheet metal panels for this build. I would really like the car to turn out looking more like a dune buggy rather than a sprint car. What do you guys think? Should I continue with the panels or lose them? If I keep them should they be painted yellow or left natural aluminum? Do you think the panels make the car look like a sprinter? Should I keep say the roof panel but lose the side or front top panel?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Re: Need Opinions Please
Tough choice. That looks great, but kinda hides the beutiful chassis. Have you considered making panels fit inside the bars instead of sitting on them? I thonk that would really look trick.

Now that's a thought, I was really looking at the Real Racing chassis instructions on line and tried to utilize the pre placed body mounting holes in the chassis. The original body pieces that came with the kit were a thin lexan. I was hoping the aluminum would look cooler...any opinion if the panels were painted yellow?
Thanks again for your input.

Re: Need Opinions Please
I'd keep the hood but lose the side panels and half the roof....just leave it over the cab with a little hangover at the front. Then maybe add a skid plate under the motor.

I would keep the panels natural, or maybe a differet color. I am a fan of contrast, too much of one color looks bland to me.

Re: Need Opinions Please
I really like all the different inputs! Thanks for the ideas. One other thing I'd like to add is I've got 2 scale KC style lights coming that I was thinking about mounting on the front of the roof, one on each side to give the car a more dune buggy look.

Thanks I was thinking about putting a plate under the motor in the rear. Your suggestion validated my thoughts.
I've got a picture of the car with no panels in the gallery link below if you'd like to see the car with no panels...thanks again!
