I figured if I was going to go through the trouble of designing producing it I would I have an extra made up. I thought that there would be someone else out there that would appreciate it and use it on their build.

While there may be someone out there who would appreciate it, you need to understand that there were a fraction of TRX-1's sold as there were RC10's or even JRX's. You are starting with a smaller number. Then on top of that how many survived to today and how many people that still have them are fanatical enough to pay that much for a chassis for one? Clearly you are but the point is that the number is going to be very small.

I think its an awesome chassis but the parts are so hard to find. If I actually did get one put together, I'd never sell it.

Does TBG make repo bodies for the TRX-1?

If I had a Trx1 I would have bought this chassis.

Kinda explains why the parts are so hard to find. If I didn't already have several similar setups I'd think about a chassis like that.

If you are looking for bodys for the trx-1 send cobraken a pm thru this board to see if he has any left. He had some made up with undertrays and wings at one point in time...

Here are some pics of my completed TRX-1 and one of the project TRX-1 with the carbon fiber double deck chassis. Still need parts to complete that one. Again, if I ever find them!

you can still get the correct rear shocks from tower hobbies. also you can buy the 4 blue caps if you wanted to make them look exactly like the original (typical production) trx1. the front spindles are on ebay and buytraxxas.com and c- hubs I just saw today on ebay.

6 spoke wheels would be tough, but you could use the 2.15" traxxas wheels, in stock at tower hobbies, and the steering bellcranks I have seen on ebay often. Since it's an 'aftermarket' build with the graphite chassis, you could talk to team A&L and get a rack system for it as well.

based on what I have found on the strength of the old ball cups, I would recommend the white RPM replacement ones since I have broken a number of the original white ones just reassembling them.

tie rods are also available from tower.

gear cover is tough, but I have seen a few in the past year.

what else are you missing?

I actually have most of that stuff. I need a set of white shock misc parts which is 1965, gear cover which is part 2788, white front caster blocks 2732 & Wing Mount 1715. I have everything else for this one. Also working on an all black one. Still need a bunch of part for that. I will post some pics once I get it more together.

I'm sure you know, but don't forget, that the the hawk2 and rad2 and more current models used many of the parts over also, and were usually black. SO you might need to look for parts listed for those models if they don't show the part number.

as for the white shock collars, you could use associated white parts, they will fit but the springs will be slightly loose around them. nothing a small 'tweak' on the end coil couldn't fix.

there were two sets of white wing mounts on ebay yesterday, maybe gone by now?

I may have to consider the associated but would rather not. I need the metal parts that mount to the shock tower to the wing. Have that. I will check those other models. Def don't want to use black parts on this ones. That's why I started a black one because of the availability of parts. I will just keep lookin

The aluminum wing mounts I can make for you, but my shop is torn down right now due to moving into a new house. I will be up and running in Sept, so hit me up then, I can make a few sets pretty easily.

as for the shock collars, keep your eyes out for dirt cheap rad and hawk chassis that have the white plastic shocks and you should be able to get those shock parts then off load the remaining parts as needed.

The carbon fiber one? It's the only one that exists. I had one made up in the woven carbon fiber and one regular one which is what started this post. Nobody bought is so I'm making a black TRX-1 out of it, trying to anyway.
