Scorpion Will Sting Again - 1983 Racer Style
Straight off the bay, it is pretty rough but I can see some potential here:
Not that I don't have any other builds in progress, but it's time to add one. Like most of my projects, it will be raceable, and stems from an inspirational snapshot. In this case, Mike Dunn on the cover of Competition Plus, November 1983:

I broker her down. Cleanup and concept are now in progress. On the left, some parts from my collection, that I've been accumulating for a while, and on the right, most of the dirty begginnings. I've already broken out the steel wool, simple green and elbow grease:
And one of the more usefull items for this build is a pair of tackle trays that I stole off ebay a couple years ago...

Very nice and it looks like you have plenty of parts! Do you know what the "andy" on the front shell was for? I think I know, but not 100% sure.

Re: Scorpion Will Sting Again - 1983 Racer Style
Started un-stapling header cards this evening (to take some photos for Lars - I sent a link dude).
The coolest (to me anyway) are the MIP Holiday Buggy widening outers. Now Race Prep had these out, and I've always thought Race Prep was the only one. CRP had gold and silver HB outers, but they kept the stock width. I've NEVER seen a MIP set, so I had to have them.
They use a pvc ring to widen the wheel and lower the profile. I did notce that these are a bit lighter than the Race Prep set I have, as they have more aluminum milled out from the back side. Still are pretty representative of 1983 heavy metal though .
The other things I have that you don't see every day are the Race Prep nerf wings. A little cooler than the relatively common CRP ones, these have "lightening holes" drilled in them. (I guess when you have all that wheel weight to add bling, one needs to have the kydex drilled out to get a couple milligrams back

At first look I would say they are the original front shocks with CRP #1526 aluminum shock collars. But then it seems to have an extra collar…

I had asked a friend about the shocks and he gave me this in the mean time.
