Re: Vintage Traxxas RUNNERS only
Thanks for the kind words Lots of work went in this one, but at a time where most parts were available in black anyway, so not too much of a challenge either really... I doubt you speak French, but you can still have a peek at the article I wrote for a renown (in France, at least, for what it's worth ) website...
http://overrc.com/vintage/autos/traxxastrx1/traxxas_trx1_volet1.htm
All the light/dark blue ano (shock caps + motor plate) was removed and then the metal was polished to what was intended to be a mirror finish but never quite turned like it but stayed matte instead
Motor guard is marked, like every runner's... so is the chassis, but it wasn't new in the first place (came from a donor car I bought here I think, yeaaaaars ago) and I have a few more trx1's in various state of restoration... so I don't mind running this one now the pics have been taken

weird...
gotta talk to the webmaster about why he just prevented this from happening as it was working a couple of hours ago... i guess he doesnt want any kind of hot (warm?) linking to a subset of his site
this will work:
www.overrc.com
click vintage in the left black column
then do a ctrlF on trx and click the trx1 link
sorry bout that

Re: Vintage Traxxas RUNNERS only

Here is a shot of Wendy driving her Hawk2 on the track. At first she is just bashing around and then she starts making laps.
My TCP is the little buggy in front. It's just waiting for me to finish recording.
Re: Vintage Traxxas RUNNERS only
The nitro hawk was a pile of crap.
I have one too. Its a parts car.
The chassis was paper thin like a sheet of foil.

Re: Vintage Traxxas RUNNERS only
I want to get an SRT bad. I had a TCP years ago and have regretted selling it ever since the guy pulled out of my driveway.
Man I would kill to have a NIB one of each. I still have my old Stampede and Nitro Stampede though. I will have to post pics whenever I get them going again.

Great looking cars!
I have a somewhat dilapidated Hawk 2 coming in the mail, hopefully I can add it here soon.
