OK so the title is a little open ended but I thought it would be cool to get a list and even better some pics together of all the different vintage upgrades that were available.
I'm a big mid fan so keen to see from that perspective but also I have a NIP Trinity SWB saddle pack chassis which I want to build up with vintage upgrades if possible, I'm not sure what was out there to know what to target, especially things like upper decks and shock towers.
Maybe this tread could be a sticky for all of us mid fans out there

Re: Vintage Optima Mid Upgrade Parts
Well, just off the top of my head, theres the finned motor plate spw2, lm-15 motor cooling plate, any kind of adjustable turn buckle from Kyosho or aftermarket, ball diffs....A&L trailing arm chassis,, A few different makes of shock towers.. Im not aware of any much else like top plates, or other chassis.

Re: Vintage Optima Mid Upgrade Parts
Keep in mind that SPW-2 and the gear cover might not work together nicely.
Here's some bits that ought to fit:
Kyosho:
- W-5111 front one-way
- 92501 rigid axle
- SPW-1, 2, 3, 4 TF-1 (narrow SWB Optima Mid) swing bar set, motor plate, carbon chassis, toe in rear plate set
- xxxxx (unknown number) TF-1 two-speed transmission
- 1710 special antenna holder
- 39502 HG quick body mount (if used on a Scale Car Optima Mid)
Aftermarket:
- alloy c-hubs, front uprights, rear uprights, king pins, etc. for Kyosho Spider/GP-10 cars
- alloy arms and universals for Kyosho wide GP-10 cars
Manufacturers to choose from: Cross, Kose, Atlas, Central RC, Fivestars, GPM, AR Racing, etc.

Re: Vintage Optima Mid Upgrade Parts
I remember reading the advert for the bullet products. Wow factor there. The heat sink motor plate looks nice. I thought either kyosho or option house had a finned motor plate specifically for the buggy mids, but all I could remember is the spider motor plate. I totally forgot about the factory 1 way front diff,, and its strange because my current built mid has that. Mids are my current passion, so ill be following this closely. In a rusted heap,, I just received a complete turbo mid se with all the factory goodies still on it! Rough, but complete and correct. Thats a highly optioned buggy right outta the box. Had never seen a correct one till now. That jg chassis looks nice! I have been searching for the spider option chassis just for the bling effect,, but the jg would do just fine!
