I found tis on craigs list a couple months back for 20.00 it was missing the radio box but every thing else was there the body was painted once so it was in great shape the condition of the buggy it self was like new I couldn't see any signs of...

I got a Rough Rider back when I was a kid. Not really sure what age I was though. I would have to say maybe early 80’s. Did they make a reproduction of this model? If so how can you tell which one you have? Thanks for any help!!

That's pretty complete from a restoration point of view , looks like your guess of early 80s is good , it's not the very earliest production parts from what I can see but it looks like you only really short of wheels ,tires and a body .
