T&L still had a few when I picked up another one last week.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Lots of people still have them, so why in the world people are asking $350+ for a currently available item...is beyond me.

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
I picked mine up from the LHS a few weeks ago after stupidly cancelling my Tower backorder a while back. Thankfully they had three in stock at the time and were not gouging the price.
I enjoyed the build for the most part, my first RC10 build in 20 years so it was somewhat surreal having my hands on a new 'old' kit. It got turnbuckles and bearings from the get-go even though I'm not entirely sure I'll even drive the thing. Problems with fitting bearings into one of the outdrives is really the only problem I've had, but it's a pretty big one. The bearings still aren't seated correctly since the gear drags on the inside of the case and the clip is not in the groove all the way. I tried the freezer/oven trick with no progress then finally used a cone-shaped dremel sanding bit to open it up a smidge but it still isn't right. How come one outdrive went together flawlessly and the other was not even close? Frustrating!
I also realized how much I hate filling and bleeding shocks. I guess I was spoiled by the volume-compensating diaphragms in the older shocks. All four of them came out different and I haven't been in the mood to go back and try them again. Boy do I ever miss my RPM shock tools. I have a set of bleeder caps on order so we'll see how it goes using those.
When I was done (with the chassis build at least), I remembered how boring a box-stock RC10 is and how much I dislike the original narrow front end. This thing is getting a set of RPM arms all around for a period-correct(ish) looking upgrade... at least!

They are available from ModelsportUK. However, by the time you add shipping to the US, you're looking at $370 +. Still less than they're going off on ebay ($400 and up) and you won't have to sweat out an auction. I wish there were more hobby shops where I live. I'm sure there are some on the shelves out there.

Let me know, I will grab whatever I see for cost plus shipping. I'm not making money. I am supporting my brothers.abailey21 wrote:I want another rere so bad!

I just saw RPP has these in stock for $420. Isn't that almost the MSRP?

And just found them in stock at P1 Hobbies for $500:

MSRP is $399, so it's over. That's really disappointing; I've always thought of RPP as one of the good guys. Really disappointing to see them scalping like that.LTO_Dave wrote:I just saw RPP has these in stock for $420. Isn't that almost the MSRP?![]()

Maybe some Facebook active members might chime in under the "comments" section of those pages how "classic" it is to ask double-the-street-price for the holidays. Or at all-
