Hi all, Can anyone suggest what to use as rubber bushing for where the shock bolts attach to the towers?

Be interested to know the method used to straighten the rails, I'm guessing metalwork vice at the very least.

Nitro fuel tubing works well as a bushing for the dampers to attach to the shock tower. I've had good luck straightening the frame rails using a vice to crush them straight. Bent frame rails are common, I've rarely seen a used scorpion that did have some amount of tweak to the rails

I've found, when trying to straighten out bent aluminum shock towers and frame rails in a vise, it helps...but they usually just rebound and spring most of the way back to their bent shape when you open the vise again. I've always had to do some careful tapping with a rubber mallet in specific areas to straighten them out properly. You could make some unsightly scratches & marks on the aluminum with the vise, so be sure to wrap the part with cardboard or thin piece of rubber or something to avoid damaging the aluminum.
