Welcome to the forum, Steve.

That said, I think you ought to have something a lot more concrete before requesting donations. Your first post comes off sounding overly spamalicious. Your idea of an all-American-made RC car is commendable but I don't think it's economically viable. You're competing with existing Asian & North American manufacturers that have already carved out major niches in RC, so without some concrete plans of what you're offering, this could be a money pit.

Good luck in your venture, all the same.

Thank you for the input Coelacanth. I agree its going to be an up hill battle for me to get the funding for my ideas to come to life. I am not a quitter and i will keep trying to get this. You say I need concrete plans, like cad drawings?

Right, something to indicate what you have planned is more than just vapor-ware, and therefore worth donating to. To be fair, anybody could put up a random picture of an RC car and ask for donations, but with the economy being what it is these days, I think most people will want to know exactly what they're paying for. If you don't get your project off the ground, those donations just end up gone.
