Vale's RC10T #7011 ...GOES TEAM TRUCK!!!
Hi guys,
I scored this RC10 Truck on ebay germany. Costs: 60€ (+/- $80)
The truck is in a really good shape and just needs a clean up. It's a B chassis and as you can see it has been little used, has just some scratches. Just the anodizing is faded on some places but that's no longer tragic.
Plus it is fully equipped with Futaba electronics: Futaba Mangum Sport Radio ( FP-T2PB), Futaba FP-S148 Servo and Futaba MC 210CB esc The motor is a Reedy Elite Stock one
It also came with some other stuff like 2 battery packs, the original associated greases and oils, resistor and wiring, the original charge cord, some decals....and the original documentation/owner manuals!
As I said it came from germany but I wonder if the previous owner bought it once in the US / brought it from the US, because it's a 75mhz radio -> we only use 27mhz and 40mhz over here! I also found an invoice from an US shop in the package: Hobby Shack - Supermarket of Hobby Goods, Encino, California (dated 11/09/1994).
It's simply a great score in my opinion

Re: Vale's RC10T
Good looking truck. I love my T. Just a great design!! I'm slowly gathering parts for a t2. They came out during my hiatus from rc, so looking forward to the new experience!! Great score!!
I'm not like them, but I can pretend...

Re: Vale's RC10T
Nice to see where this car ended.
I`ve also seen the auction but didn`t bid because I`ve scored two RC10T at ebay Germany not long ago. One more and I will have problems with my wife
From time to time you can find such nice finds at ebay Germany and mostly in good condition.
Congratulations and have fun with it

Re: Vale's RC10T
Hey guys,
thank you for your feedback
Yes, the truck will be entirely disassembled and cleaned up. It will also be a shelfer like the most of my vintage rc's.
More pictures will follow

Re: Vale's RC10T
Nice Truck! Interesting to see the black composite arms, and worlds rear bulk head on a "B" stamp. Do you think that motor came with your "mid" 7011? or was it swapped in her life. I maybe asking for more pic's

Re: Vale's RC10T
Hi Marlo,
Good question concerning the motor...the motor in the owners manual is also a Reedy stock motor but looks different.
I also got all the additional notes to the owners manual, also one concerning the rear worlds bulkhead

Re: Vale's RC10T
I would have thought black composite arms, and worlds bulk head would show on a "C" stamp, and they did!, so you must have one of the last "B" stamp's with part change overs. In one of my #7035 kits ("B" stamp) a worlds rear bulk head is present, should be a standard one. I'm sure a few different motors were found in the later #7011 kits, much like the late CE's.

I asked some questions to the previous owner, let us wait for the answers
So today I disassembled the truck and tomorrow I will clean each part. I have to replace some parts: nose plate (the old one is bent), battery cups and a lot of screws. I also would love to get a new white bumper but I think it will be difficult to find it.
After removing the electronics I was shocked: the chassis is no longer black anodized but more brown...so really faded :-/ is a pity because the chassis is otherwise in very good condition. Pictures will follow
Cheers

Re: Vale's RC10T
I got feedback from the previous owner....very interesting story about this truck :
1. The truck has NO modification, it's all original the previous owner has been several times in LA and bought the RC10T over there (Brentwood). It was much cheaper than in Germany. The truck was also assembled in LA and drove there. Then it came to Germany...and then back to the US, North Carolina...and then back to Germany, Munich and now it's in Luxembourg, in my possession
2. The previous owner is not sure about the motor...he doesn't know any more if the motor came with the kit or if he bought it separately.

Re: Vale's RC10T
Vales' truck is a short run piece. (Like the B/W CE and TC) those arms also came on the 7035 with the worlds rear bulkhead intermittently (I have rears NIP but still searching for NIP fronts) they're glass impregnated and very robust. They used the in competiton during 1994-1995 until the T2, then 7011's came with the T2 arms. That chassis might not be countersunk for the 6 gear either

Re: Vale's RC10T
Some of them are just shaded like that; it's not fading. My B stamp also has a brown tint in brighter lighting. After removing the electronics I was shocked: the chassis is no longer black anodized but more brown...so really faded :-/ is a pity because the chassis is otherwise in very good condition.
And congrats! Nice score.
