Here is the engine for the Nitro Panda. It cleaned up really well. The piston, sleeve and connecting rod are in great condition. I am hoping that this engine will run well.

Re: Bringing a Danny Thompson Nitro Panda back to life.
Here is the rear end of the truck. I elected to convert the drive from the pin type to the standard 12mm hex. I am hoping that it will make it much easier for me to find a set of rear rims with the correct offset. I ditched the rusty old tie rods and opted for some cheap turnbuckles as replacements.

Re: Bringing a Danny Thompson Nitro Panda back to life.
Thanks guys. A well known Canadian racer and old friend Dave Henry has broke out some of his old boxes of stuff. He let me pick though and I found some old Kyosho rims with the correct offset. Now I have pretty much everything to complete this project. All that I need is a body and a front body mount and I should be good to go.

Here are some more views of the engine installed. The HPI spur that I used seems to fit well.

Sometimes what you find on ebay for 99p is amazing. I did have one of these with a full manual somewhere, and a MIckey Thomson version, and a Testarossa
