Rear Wheel Conversion Issues

Post by MetalMilitia »

Hey guys. I just got the rear wheel conversion kit and installed it, and for some reason it seems like its way too tight with the springs in the dogbones. And not allowing the a-arms to move smoothly. It's almost like its binding somewhere, but it doesn't appear to be. Any ideas?

From my experiences with the 3/16 stub axles, you don't need the springs anymore. The DS did not run them

you rear arms might be hanging too low which causes some binding to go on.

did you put spacers in the rear shocks to limit them from going too far down?

if this is a rereleased car your building, it probably didnt recommend the proper spacers.

isnt it somewhere around 3/8" you want to remove from the total travel of the 1.32 shocks?

Thanks guys. I'll try taking the springs out first and see how it runs.

I did the same conversion on my son's rc10 classic and I lost the springs. If you pop dogbones you might need a spacer or two in your rear shocks.
