gold pan: recommend some street basher tire/wheels?
now that i'm bashing my old gold pan again after a BL/lipo/DSM conversion, the 25 year old bolink foamies i've had on there since back in the day are getting used up quickly. Anyone recommend something to use for street bashing when these are gone?

As odd as it sounds, I would recommend Pro-line Dirt Hawgs. They are excellent all-around tires that work well on the street and have a pretty long life span.

Hi Peter
I'm not sure we know which wheels you currently have but it's probably safe to assume they are period wheels and too small for modern tires. With that being said, the cheapest and easiest way to convert to larger wheels is to buy a set of wheels from JC Racing. They are a direct bolt on wheel set and are the modern 2.2" size. The JC Racing rims will accept most if not all modern tires including the dirt hawgs. They are available in black, white or yellow.

you're right, i do have original sized rims...
excellent. so i don't need "conversion kits" like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDWJH&P=Z to run 2.2" rims?

I'll 2nd the dirt hawg 2.2's, here's a rear tire photo
Keep in mind the fronts will be OK on a narrow front rim, but it's more ideal if you use a team wide front 2.2 rim since it's a pretty tall tire in general.
