Boy, that plastic one looks more appropriate. I did a lot of searching back in the day, and recall the instructions listing the CB-161 as an option part. Of course all that stuff is currently in deep storage..

The tank looks just like a Kyosho, here is the cap on a Rampage tank

You have a late gen2 conversion, judging by the stupid screw on fuel cap... I have a NIB kit with that gem. I'll pay for a Kyosho CB-161 flip-top cap...
ya but how could u be 100% sure by an aftermarket kyosho fuel tank? it could have been something the guy had and added the part. its part #FD-28 fuel tank.

My NIB kit has a Kyosho fuel tank with the screw cap...in the Kyosho package. Just sayin'....
