Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Unfortunately, it looks as if Pargu is backing out on the rims I ordered from him for my Tomahawk I paid for them in early April and have been waiting since. Anyway, I guess I will have to go with another option. So I was wondering if anyone has confirmed if the re re rims will fit on the vintage buggy's?
Honestly, I would rather have his rims, but what are you gonna do? I'm sure spare parts and hop-ups will start being stocked soon. I for one am very interested in those HG shocks!

Thank you Raman.Raman wrote:Re-re rims will fit just fine.

Thanks. I had some Repro original Scorpion decals and also borrowed a few from my Sand Scorcher.SMOKE-DOG wrote:Nice work. I like that you used old school decals on it.
We're gonna need an official Scorpion re-re thread section like the re-re RC10 has.
I wish that Mint 400 curved the opposite way.. Oh well

yes, the rims/wheels should work, they have no hex slots or slot for pins. Check this thread by gomachv

What do you mean, will Pargu not give you those alloys and refund your money?? Yea, they would have been the BEST!

That will be done by tomorrow, right? Just after renaming rc10talk.com into onlykyoshotalk.com...

At least Scr8p won't have to hide who he really is anymore

Ooh! Ouch! Harsh! I've always liked that they march to their own drummer. Seems in the US anyway they're always a bridesmaid for some reason. This looks nicer than the RC10 Gold-pan repop, and the casting is mostly MUCH nicer than my beloved Scorcher, so not uch to cry about (I HATE that! )
I'll start a thread in my forum on bits for this, and I'm always wanting input from you chaps, so do post up. I swear, I feel the same getting a new re-re kit as I did back in the day..... Chris REC

I'd like to see a metal wing and wing mount.

Pargu has both: I was thinking of a wing, maybe- My last ones NOBODY wanted! One quick thought- I was unboxing mine, and DO NOT throw out the blister plastic covering the wheels! Kyosho just unwittingly gave you 2 free sets of Lexan fenders, in 2 different sizes, for trailers, bods, etc. (Go look.) Chris REC

+1 they out did Tamiya and Associated with this re-release. Tamiya by creating a wolf in sheeps clothing , the tranny is brilliant. Associated by quality.. That re-re gold pan is a joke in quality control.toyranosaur wrote:Ooh! Ouch! Harsh! I've always liked that they march to their own drummer. Necessary bits:
1. Turbo Scorpion style aluminium roll cage roof, with the cut outs and spoiler. It really makes the car look cool IMO
2. Body post that attaches onto servo saver. Short one for Tomahawk and long one for beetle body.
3. Clamp for roll bar to attach Tomahawk and Beetle body (although SRB one can be used)
That's all I can think off

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I totally agree with you Mate, 'specially the part where you totally agree with me! The roof is VERY high on the list, but I do hafta see about curving the metal- Can't do that with CNC, but it must be smooth and repeatable. The servo saver I will also address most likely- If ya got one on your servo, I think it should just be a solid bellcrank m'self. So you chaps tell me if that's a good idea, or my usual stupid kind..... Chris REC
Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
The old turbo roof was just stamped sheet metal? Or was it think gauge aluminium?

Just got home and found a big box from RPP waiting for me... naturally, I have already opened it. Man, those blister packs are almost too pretty to rip open! Almost.
Did anyone else notice the bit of Engrish on the box lid? First bullet point under where it says "Off-Road Racer"...
