Today I received this little package that will help me to fabricate some nice sway bars while waiting for other stuff to show up. The bars included won't do the trick so I'll just bend some piano wire. I'll have to slightly cut the ball cups for the front bar as they look very long and for the rear I will use the front tied rods that came with the Classic kit.

Trimmed the body and wing already (still with protection film) as I was anxious so see it mounted. I must say JC made a great job on it and although I wasn't a big fan of it at a first glance, I just now love it. It also fits the tub like a glove. The cutting lines are perfect and would have loved one for teh rear shock tower as it would have helped me not to remove too much lexan there, no big deal though.

Sway bars are now mounted and really add a nice touch I think.

The car is now temporarily sitting on Lohas 2.2 rims in wait for the REC ones.

that looks sweet, david!

for some reason, that detonator body doesn't look as bad as it normally does to me. i don't know if it's because of the larger 2.2 wheels/tires....... or the fact that it isn't painted yet.

I think once the initial shock of that body goes away it looks much better. That's the way it was for me anyway.

This build is right up there with the rest of yours you Asso. Very nice! 8)

I agree!
It is the proportions of the body to the wheels that make a BIG difference in how the body looks, the bigger wheels/tires make the body looks less bulky..

Here she is all dressed up with the smaller REC rims and orginal tires. Not sure I will paint the shell but some details need to be looked at still and I plan to install full electronics as well in the near future. It might do some quiet laps :-)

That thing looks sweet!!!

Before I read the comments, I was of the same mind state. I'm not a fan of the detonator myself , but as soon as I saw that pic, I was telling myself " that body looks freakin good".
Looks night and day compared to some of the painted shells I've seen.

The colors are just perfect.....the red...black....chrome ....n the clear shell....
Awesome combo!!
