Edit regarding the "Cliff Lett hole"sandkil wrote:Thank you!Charlie don't surf wrote:If your going with the fined spacers, there are a few dirt oval manufacturers that still make them like GFRP. Don't forget the center hole/mount BK had on the motorplate/rear chassis. Looks very nice so far!
Ihave been looking around on the web without any luck, but will continue searching for spacers. Regarding the "Cliff Lett hole" i'm not sure if I'm to drill that one. It doesn't look like there is a hole in BK's motor plate for it. Unless it was used with the motor plate that has another milling to it (See picture above)

Re: My 1993 Brian Kinwald WC re-release build
Hey guys need your help!
Regarding the centre hole in the rear of the chassis that Cliff Lett did on BK's car.
Do you guys think that the center hole in the motor plate was in-line (not likely) with the other two holes or below or above it.
If I'm not misstaking I think that at the time there was alot of tinkering around changing the rear like the later B2 chassis plate that have an angle.
Thanx

I think it was slightly higher, but I can't find the reference pic. Did you have any luck with the fined spacers?

I'm really enjoying watching this build. Within reach for all with the rere, but still allot of effort and detail put forth. Very cool!

Thanks for your kind words Rodslotcarrod wrote:I'm really enjoying watching this build. Within reach for all with the rere, but still allot of effort and detail put forth. Very cool!

The idea of using rere parts is just the thing. It can be done fairly easy, but it takes some elbow grease if you want to go into details.
Next on the list is to make the battery brace and body posts.

Re: My 1993 Brian Kinwald WC re-release build
Thank you guys
I've had the time this weekend to take some photos outside to get more light since the car has so much black parts.
I'm now waiting on delivery of the body (Pro-line Mirage SS) and some decals.
Unfortunately the body doesn't have the air scoop, but it will have to do. Hope it will look ok when done.
Any one know how to manage the thin black outer lines around the splash paint and the "game over" text?
