Post by LosiXXkid »

Found this JRX2 on a Japanese website (along with some other vintage R/C stuff) but what body is that....?

I've never seen that RPM battery box or front bulkhead either. The motor looks like an early, aluminum endbell Checkpoint. Cool pics!

I hope somebody can ID that body.

I have two of them, but I don't know the make/model:

The front bulkhead is close to this in RCCA ad, but the ad version (from year 1993 = Junior2, JuniorT, ProSE and LXT era) have holes for upper brace.

For RPM battery box I have nothing.

Here is the body official reference: Parma 10299, X2 Replacement body

I also have one and I love it! Unfortunately I've lost the pictures in the meantime as Imageshack erased them. I'll take new ones when I'll have the opportunity.

It's a great looking body. And as per the advert, it gives the JRX2 a low and sleek look. 8)

I don't think RPM worried about the holes till the SE kits came out they were the first kit that used them, unless you had a Composite Craft chassis not sure on the date of them? but se on up needed the upper holes

The RPM bulkhead without the holes will not line up with a junior or SE front brace if drilled as the bulkhead had 10 deg of caster built in to bring the 20 on the jrx-2 short wheelbase plate up to 30

That body looks good, on my list of things still to find, like the mccallister version.

That car may have been on a Japanese website, but it's actually in Australia.

Anthony is correct about the front buklhead. The early 10 degree bulkhead will not line up even if you drill the holes. That surface is not parallel with the chassis.
