Homemade RC trinkets

Post by vintage AE »

I seen this ashtray at a gas station and I couldn't leave it there. The yellow lettering looked so vintage and reminded me of vintage RC tires that had yellow lettering on them.

When I got home I took it apart and started to think of how I can turn this into a nut and bolt cup. I think I will eventually find a magnetic cup to put in it or at least make one that fits good.

Weird....searching d5550 brings up a lot of interest in these tires. Also, here is an auction for a pair on associated rims.
