Got this one from Doug a while back. Very cool and I am sure they are out there, but in all the years I've been looking I haven't seen another Mercedes. Id love to find a new one.

Here's the two Protech bodies I mentioned that I believe are early. Two things make me think so, one the paint jobs look a bit flat as opposed to the depth that we are used to seeing from AJ. The other, very similar to some of the early 8th scale bodies I have from AE, they have a bubbled/dotted vaccum base. I don't recall ever seeing any NIP Protec bodies with the bubbled/dotted lexan base.

One of them is spider cracked in the forward part of the front pod, maybe from using some different type of paint, thinner or chemical. Shame, but it's still in pretty good shape.

I have been told that the red/yellow body is Andy's and I am now suspicious that the Jrx-2 body is also after seeing this thread. Can anyone confirm or deny either? If these are Andy's, should they not be used on runners? The Jrx2 was cut up, drilled and lightly used before I obtained it, but the other is yet uncut. I had planned to put it on a shelf queen.

Edit: Nope, not Andy's.

When I was in Cali for the Reedy race, I stopped in at Pegasus, and low and behold Andy came in shortly after with this sweet prototype TC mold. He will be making bodies again! 8)

BTW, Andy made the original mold for the RCPS Mirage!
