Some pics of the car at its first race meeting at Maritime Racing in the uk
Id just like to say thanks for the advice on the build, really happy with how the car turned out and how it went on track.
I raced my Centro C4.2 on the day too, best lap time with the centro was 17.88 and best time with RC10 was 19.2
With some more set up work it'll get better for sure, I still thrashed a load of Cougar KF's, Cougar SV2, Team C etc
The car got so much love at the meeting, roll on January for the next meeting!

Cool as hell! Looks like it works well, nice and flat in the air, love the paint as well!

Re: First RC10 Team, it's going to be a racer!
Hi Guys, took the old girl carpet racing last night for a blast at Maritime racing UK, guess who was there?
What a top guy Mark is, he said he enjoyed watching the car go round the track and we had a good chat about his AE days.
Mark talked about his first gold pan car and he has one of the very first machined prototype Stealth gearboxes! He joked about all the holes they used to drill in the chassis's!
He is going to dig out his original cars and get them photographed on his Facebook page.
Mark was racing his mid motor 22 and was very fast on his second race meeting on carpet, he like the insane grip levels and speed, he took TQ and got second in the end.
A video is on Maritimes Facebook page for those who are interested.
A great evenings racing!

Re: First RC10 Team, it's going to be a racer!
Well dusted off my RC10 for its next round of mods after some inspiration from the other superb looking cars on here
So my plans are a chassis cut and powder coat, JConcepts bling and hex conversion
Little progress today:

That was very cool! Did Mark say why he was in the UK?

Think he was over for a meeting with FDL/Kyosho (Aka importer) and checking out the indoor tyres we run (schumacher mini pins/staggers)
More progress, first rough cut of the chassis, still a lot of cleaning/sanding to be done then it will be off for powder coating next

I cleaned up the chassis and sent it off for powder coating and made some more progress today
Gone to 12mm hex rear wheels with JC hex conversion;
Cleaned up the front end and added vented shock caps, FT shock bushings from B4.1 and new spring perch's
Rear shocks got the same treatment as the front end with fresh oil and new pistons

Re: First RC10 Team, it's going to be a racer!
Just picked this little lot up from my powder coater, all for the sum of £5
I'll get on with putting it all back together

Re: First RC10 Team, it's going to be a racer!
That's looking good! Are you planning on running any sort of chassis stiffener? I have a team car with a "cut chassis"(much deeper cut than yours) and it's pretty flimsy. I have been toying with fabbing up a brace for it.
