Help. Please identify this truck.
Help. Please identify this truck.
Alright guys! Lets see who can tell me without a shadow of a doubt which RC10T this is. I got this as a trade from a friend at work for a vintage rc plane that I was never going to do anything with. He believes its 1995 model original, but this doesn't have the white suspension parts, and the original came out in 1992 if I'm correct. What is this truck, so I can start ordering parts to fix it up for some track fun.
Re: Help. Please identify this truck.
I have posted on a few of the facebook pages that I'm on. They actually directed me over to this site. Some say its a factory team RC10T, some people tell me that this is an RC10T2. I need to know what I've got so I order all of the right parts. Also, can the transmission withstand say a 3300kv-3800kv brushless motor? I know I should rebuild the slipper clutch, or at the very least take it apart and make sure its good. I have very little experience with slipper clutches, what do these get lubricated with?

Looks like a later all black RC10T Team Truck. Hard to tell from all the dirt and dust though. You have your work cut out for you, but should make a sweet runner if rebuilt correctly.

Yeah, my friend at work said that steering setup is like the f1 car. I will try out and see how it works. Rc10 team huh? I saw a post on some forum that read something like the carbon fiber on top of the trans means it's a team truck. I'm not sure if that's true or not.

You'll want a different car for sure.

I'm getting ready to dust this thing off and start cleaning it up. I plan on going RPM crazy with this rig. What are my upgrade options for the differential to be able to handle brushless and lipo?

<at last>
If you want to go RPM crazy, get a modern beater car with a gear diff and soft plastic for the suspension... and pay respect to the old 10T...

The old stealth with a newer b4 top shaft and b4-b6 slipper unit shoudl handle down to a 8.5 brushless. Factory Team no. they didnt start that till the B3/T3 days. But yeah looks like a later black suspension one, with aftermarket shocks.Sinist3r wrote:I'm getting ready to dust this thing off and start cleaning it up. I plan on going RPM crazy with this rig. Re: Help. Please identify this truck.
Yeah probable team truck that needs ton of work.. Best bet is to go to team associated website and download a manual for it mate .. You will definitely want the original steering or buggy steering system on it for sure.... Trans can handle that kv motor easily if built correctly SEE MANUAL for that.. Only rpm parts easily available are arms and gear cover... They did make other parts but you will ahve to chase them down on the second hand market.. Good luck mate
