Losi XX CR return
Re: Losi XX CR return
vintagelosi.com (which is ran by oldrc.com or sabulatech, ) has a copy of all the manuals from the xx's back.

Re: Losi XX CR return
I'd already take a look at vintageosi.com, and unfortunately the XXTcr is one of the missing manuals.
that's why i'm coming to the forum, i know someone must have this manual...
anyway, thank you for responding alien3t

Re: Losi XX CR return
This club is situated at "La Mulatière" a little town very closed to Lyon.
The website: MulZteam.com
We're a few to get actuals and vintage cars...Dont mess with us if you're in Lyon

Re: Losi XX CR return
I realize that this old post need an update
pics are gone with time (thank you image shack
)
so i re-edit them with the ones i still get
since the beginning of this post, i stop running my XX and it now take place on a shelf
the rarity of some parts decide me to race with a modern one
but my hot laps at my club track are only 1sec. slower, with a brushed combo...
the last modifications concern the front end; i need more stability on high speed turns without less agility on u turn
so i mount trinity larger front hex and losi ball-stud/kingpin

I also add some RPM parts (bumper, front arms and gear cover) 'cause i like it
And now the beauty strike the pose :

That kind of project is never really finnished, but the result is pretty close to what i expect

Re: Losi XX CR return
Thank you LosiXXkid
As I won't ride it again, except for a potential vintage race,
I'm thinking to do a new body with period decals.
And also changing electronic by a Kinwald 1997 set (mercury + cyclone)
so, to be continued ...

Re: Losi XX CR return
Reedy in a can - I haven't seen a can of that for ages!
Stunning Losi XX by the way - there's something just so very right about the XX - I like the sound of your plans to find/fit period Novak electronics - the Mercury & Cyclone were a popular fitment for my fellow DoubleX owning friends back in the 90s

Re: Losi XX CR return
I find this Reedy can in an old box dedicated to motor maintenance, that was a great find.
You're a great car (re)builder, I'll never get your skill level but people like you really inspiring me; so thank you for the compliment about my XX.
Now that i'm not gonna ride it anymore, it will be more easy to find right period electronic
especially the novak mercury (most of the time in 75MHz, which it's not an allowed frequency in France)
I just had to be patient and find the right stuff.
