Re: MIP LEGENDS RUNNER RESTO.
Its actually just a simple post with material removed to allow a bearing to sit on a small axle. The tension is adjusted by reducing or adding washers under the mount (which screws to the bottom of the chassis).
Really looking forward to running it - not sure which body to run on it.probably a viper.
Anything you guys would look better?
Cheers
Darryn

Re: MIP LEGENDS RUNNER RESTO.
lol - that was after JUST the rear suspension arms and bulkhead!! I had cleaned it (the ultrasonic cleaner) just 20 minutes before!
You should have seen it after the front end and other bits........
Pretty much finished now - just need to decide on a body and install the radio gear.
Cheers

Re: MIP LEGENDS RUNNER RESTO.
Actually it is pretty easy to make a basic one - just get an old fish tank pump and attach a tupperware container to it using hot glue. Turn it on and the parts get the dirt and crap shaken out of them nearly as good as the expensive ones....RPM even made one years ago - will have to get a pic of mine for you.

What it just shakes? Hmmmmm...I might be able to rustle something up from parts at uni. Don't you need to spend a lot on the funny shaped packing material the parts sit in in the bowl though?RETRO R/C wrote:Actually it is pretty easy to make a basic one - just get an old fish tank pump and attach a tupperware container to it using hot glue. Re: MIP LEGENDS RUNNER RESTO.
No you fill the receptacle with cleaner of choice (I use methylated spirit) - rubbing alcohol would also work. We arent polishing - we are cleaning parts and getting the grit out of bearing etc - I think you are thinking of a rouge polishing tumbler or something similar.
