Every year me and a friend of mine have a challenge, where we bring custom or modify cars to race them. Last year we did outrunner power fwd car. This year we went with rwd car, the rules are basically any chassis aslong as its rwd and any stock 21.5t and no blinky esc.
So of course following my traditional bring something unique style i went with a frd chassis. Still have some parts coming but here is the current state of it with mock up parts.
Thought you guys may find the build interesting.
Today was adjustment day spent a good 6 plus hour adjusting all the stuff. Especially the clearance between the drive shaft to the battery and the drive shaft to the top deck. Also my plan for wide 26mm tires at the rear and skinny 20mm at the front had to be change the front 20mm rim was rubing on the arms, so i switch to 26mm all around until i find a 20mm rim that works.
I get a ton of questions about my cars, both in person and online through this and other forums. It got me thinking that the best way to answer the questions would be to do a complete build and post it, along with pictures so anyone could see...

Here is the start of a modern take on the RC10T. I just had the chassis anodized. I did some rounding and sanding work to it prior to anodizing. I will be installing modern electronics, as well as new vintage upgrades. It will be a bit of a mash up...

Hey guys I just picked up this Optima Mid here locally. Didn't pay much for it and you can see it has definately been bashed. The guy I got it from told me since it is a 4WD he had to find a way to make the car drive with the larger wheels in the...

I just finished up the drawings for the arms I plan to use. I used some vintage Lazer ZX arms (Thanks to Aaron) and took the basic measurements from them to create these. I may change the fronts but overall I am happy with how they will turn out....
