Wheel help

Post by makoman1860 »

Ok so the year is 1991, and you are racing the same gold pan you have had for years. You already drilled your chassis and swapped in a stealth trans, you put the long arms up front and all those goodies. Good motor, novak electronics.....what would have been the hot wheels of the day?

For racing, that would be Yokomo TH-1 wheel adapters and Yokomo wheels.
For all us other mortals it would be HPI Super star wheels.

~'91 was the start of the push for 2.2 wheels and tires but the limit for some major races would've still been 2.1". Lightweight dish wheels would've been pretty normal.

My favorite was the Losi “X” patterns!
