ESCs feel different when driving?
Why when I have the Dtx-4 hooked up to car it feels like crap, it’s fast but really choppy. The wires are really clean ,soldered pretty good, long. Then when I use the Tekin rebel ESCs with same car and motor it’s a lot smoother but still not as smooth present day ESCs. Was this just how they felt back in the day( which is hard to believe) or are mine just junk.
And another note can anyone tell me what that short pink wire is for on the rebel esc, thanks.

are you using a modern radio? If your using old school make sure you have the three capacitors on the motor, they prevent glitching. I assume that is the choppy feeling you are getting. Both speed controls should be smooth. The spare red wire was typically used to drive fet boosted servos

I didn’t think caps were needed with the modern stuff but might still be worth a shot! I don’t know what else would cause what you are describing.
