Re: GRAUPNER Rally Sport (Datsun)
Good find and good you've found a project to finish , what are the radio boxes made of , I can't tell from the pictures if they are lexan or ABS , if they are AbS then you could use a 3d pen to weld up the cracks , you'd have to sand it down flat afterwards but it would make a strong repair .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

Re: GRAUPNER Rally Sport (the end is near) - Fairlady 240Z
hi everyone,
I pretty much advanced on what I wanted to do even if I made a big dumpling ...
So, I repainted the rims and it was the easiest, I continued the radio installation and rebuild the mecha esc, I drilled the radio box for the antenna wire , I "pimped" the vintage radio, I took pictures to crap as usual ...
I start by showing you the dumpling, namely a cutout for the passage of the motor cables in the cover of the radio box freshly repaired and repainted ... BIG DUMPLING because I made it 5mm next ... suddenly I l have left (I am an a-hole).
In short, luck is that I redid two covers of radio boxes, the second will go on the chassis.

Otherwise, I therefore have "PIMPED" the radio with A2 stainless steel

After, so I repaint the rims

Then, the radio part (I haven't finished inside) and some wiring

And, I still tried to make a little prettier pictures

More in the coming weeks (or days);)

Very nice
I would be tempted to spray the hood / bonnet flat black.
Cool car.
