Made it to the race today 101* out there  and let me tell you what a blast it was met a bunch of great people, took both the Dragster and Mid mount DS.

The Dragster made one okay pass on and off the throttle with some issues and the rest of the day I fought it pulling to the right like crazy and gave up before I killed it, needs lots of attention and that needs to be done at home.

The track was awesome very professional set up and the prep was like glue, I dont have any videos of the passes of my own cars unfortunately I cant do both......

2.867 @ 45.3mph This thing should be in the 2.2-2.5 range @ 52-54mph theoretically

Well I think I figured out the problem with the dragster, looks like the spur/diff assembly got hot enough probably from slipping and the great traction on track that it melted where the carbide balls go and basically turned itself into a spool.

Are metal spurs available where you can still put the carbide balls in or do I need to just put in a Stealth trans and be done with it since one did so well in my mid mount DS?..............................

Pulled the J-Car DD trans out and put the stealth in not a direct swap, had to put the stock bulkhead that I had to modify back on along with camber links and so on. Another issue I’m not happy with is I added more weight to the car it seems significantly heavier in her ass end now  , did install titanium dogbones though 8)

I’ll do a short test tomorrow see how the stealth likes a light car with good traction.

Time to work on the body for this thing, it’s going to take 2 new bodies to make this so I decided on a truck so the rear fender swap can look as good or relatively seamless as possible.

Here’s a preliminary fitment of an Andy’s Dodge Ram NASCAR body, once finalized I will cut up a brand new SC10 body for the rear fenders which work pretty good so we will see stay tuned.

I dig the fender flares, and they should help with aerodynamics too, I'd imagine. 8)
