1993 Brian Kinwald Replica (last update 12/12/2009)
HI Guy's !
After builded and assembed all RC10 of my dream, I will start the a strong new project, a 1993 Brian Kinwald World Champion Replica !
I started today by machining some special parts like the Brian's hand made.
This is a part of my NIB starting parts:
I start with assembling the ProLine 8105 XTR tires on wheels after machining this one like Brian (on picture one machined, the other stock):
I do the same with the ProLine 8086 XTR rear tires and machin also one wheel:
I machin the top face of the rear arms:
And I machin the lower rear edge of the rear Graphite Arms to do not stop the car with dirt:
I start to machin the right side of the rear bulkhead:
And to finish today, I machin the rear top plate:
Next step looks to finish all this parts and start to machin chassis, nose plate and motor plate.
I search a rear white 1.5° NIB arm mount and a set of front NIB Graphite Arms, one Steering RCPS turnbuckle and eventually the batterie plate if this are not hand made !
Thanks for your help in this project, I try to give you some news at each important step !

Re: 1993 Brian Kinwald Replica
were the rims actually cut down, or just blacked out around the edge? i've seen some more modern cars/racers that just black out the edge to give the wheel/tire a different look.

Re: 1993 Brian Kinwald Replica
Usually Brian cut down the edge of the wheel to glue the tire more flat !
If you look the Ranch Pit Shop 1997 Worlds, Brian did the same to glue the X2000 on the Losi wheels !

Re: 1993 Brian Kinwald Replica
Today I start to prepare some parts like the chassis, the nose plate and the rear top link to fit the flat head screws !

Re: 1993 Brian Kinwald Replica
cedric, the battery hold down looks to be the fiberglass associated 7 cell hold down. he just did some altering to it and dyed it black.kenooze wrote:I search a rear white 1.5° NIB arm mount and a set of front NIB Graphite Arms, one Steering RCPS turnbuckle and eventually the batterie plate if this are not hand made !
great job so far, by the way.
