Think I've got enough spares to build up a car for my Compositecraft chassis.
I do need screws and they are on order.

I have a chassis plate that looks like yours Chuck.
Is there a way to distinguish Compositecraft from Duratrax or are they essentially the same?

I got the chassis a while ago and due to a couple oddities on the chassis I got curious as to who distributed/sold and who manufactured it.
Sabula Tech, Dan, nailed it down but a few others helped as well. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=44920
So this style chassis was sold by Parma and manufactured by Compositecraft, others may have sold this style as well.
The chassis is somewhat wider near the front so most bodies don't fit quite right. I still haven't decided whether or not to trim the chassis to fit most bodies.
And I also needed to place a 1mm shim under the front suspension mounts to allow full travel of the arms.

Blue screws will be replaced with black as soon as they arrive.

From what I've gathered, the Andy's Renegade body is about the only thing that really fits.

I see him doing custom painted ones on Ebay. I'm considering contacting him about a couple. However, I hear that dealing with him can be difficult at times.

Fitting up a few more pieces on the chassis.

Went back through the trans, had been a while since it was built and I wasn't sure which trans it was.
Trans has all new internals, bearings and re-release outdrives. Outdrive and pinion gears de-burred and polished.
I also added an extra bearing to the left side of the diff shaft for a little more stability.
For a six gear, it spins very smooth and is pretty darn quiet.

Checked my bearing supply and came up short, so ordering rear hub carrier, front wheel and extra bearings.

The wing tubes were a anodizing fail. I tried to dye them with Rit dye, ugly results, not even close to black.

Found some bearings and cleaned/oiled them up!

Now which, rear stub axles or CV axles?
Thinking I'm leaning towards CV.

Those universals are trinity. I believe stainless steel and sort of soft. I would run those but keep an eye on them. I use bones a lot because they are easier to find and cheaper but I don't think it makes much difference. At least for my level of driving.

Yeah, think I'll go with them.
Could not remember that they were Trinity, probably bought those back in the mid-late 80's.
I ran them for a couple of years on my Houge and they do show signs of wear.
May not give them any abuse any more.

Front suspension is usually a pain to get dialed in, but for what every reason this one went pretty good.
Not yet sure about wheels/tires, motor and electrics.
Vintage and not brushless most probably.
