This goes to show don't throw anything out, all those ill machined re-re top shafts. With how hard it is to find good shafts the badly machined ones with a spacer look pretty tempting now......

Not that I'm aware of, but just about every rere worlds car had a bad (B4) top shaft.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !
