RPM ball cups rubbing

Post by Demonkey »

Does anyone else that is using the RPM ballcups have issues with them rubbing on the inner wheel when it is turned ? I’m using standard inline axles. I realize I can adjust the end point trim to prevent this but it affects the turning radius. I know the worlds car axles would also resolve the issue but I don’t like the extra width on the front, it makes the truck look odd to me. What are your thoughts?

I just checked one of my 10T's with original wheels. Even the AE ball cups (newer type) rubbed a little at full lock, but they are a little smaller than the RPM cups.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Yes, I have a few 10T trucks and the stock ball cups are super close. I think the brand of wheel may also play a small part. I love the look of the white ball cups on the vintage truck with white parts, however the rubbing is a bugaboo. My best option is going to be to adjust the endpoints and live with a larger turning radius.

I use the smaller cups in a few areas where rubbing happens.

I always ran the RPM ball cups and never had an issue with the rubbing...the strength of the RPM cup outweighed any rubbing...plus, as mentioned, end point adjustments and didn't need to drive at full lock much...
