As some of you guys know, I've been dealing with Covid the last few weeks. Just came home from the hosptial the other day, but still on oxygen. Got a bit of an uphill battle but I think I'll be Ok.

I was feeling a little better today so i thought we could try and salvage the November contest. So let's try taking some submissions. Maybe just post your pics right away so we don't have to wait for people later on. We'll give it a few days then get the contest started. :)

My RC10B4 truggy was put together from a low cost basket case and has become an entertaining go-to street basher. I've got a nice set of buggy spikes but these truck street tires and wheels on the buggy remind me of the cars in old 8 bit video games.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Keep hanging in there.

I’ll throw a submission in this month try and give some options

Showing off something a little different than most would probably see on here. This is a very special buggy and build for myself as back in 2012 this was my first rc car I won a race with. Fast forward a year or two and I found myself in some financial hardship where I ultimately ended up selling my schumacher cougar sv for a months payment of sorts.
As I grew older and much more financially stable I decided it was time to relive and own a buggy that was very special to me. I searched high and wide for a new in the box kit and came across a very friendly gentleman from South Africa who took the time out of his day to make sure I received exactly what I was after.
As I built this cougar sv, many great memories came to me of how the buggy drove and how much it peaked my interest in the hobby. (ultimately what I believe a lot of us are after on this page). The body was sent to kustom rc graphics where Larry painted the iconic (to me) display scheme that schumacher had released.
It proudly is on display and occasionally hits the carpet track to serve as a reminder how life can have many ups and downs but in the end with hard work there can be enjoyment :D

- B stamp car with truck nose and bulkhead. Front arms are Dynotech and the rears are Andy's.
- The shocks use AE Rival M/T bodies, with shorter shafts and buggy springs and cups. Factory Works towers.
- The transmission is a basic Stealth with a SCT input shaft and slipper assembly (similar to B4).
- Jconcepts blue bellcranks and honeycomb motor plate.
- Electronics consists of a Novak Polaris receiver, Futaba S132 servo, Hobbywing 1080 esc, and Tamiya 23T TZ motor.
- Wheels are the JConcepts/Traxxas combo with Factory Works hexes, and Schumacher spikes all around.
- The body is a JConcepts Worlds Dominator, painted Tamiya brilliant blue. I think the front fits well with the RPM style tower.

Why not finish the year with an entry..... I give you my Mad Max Pursuit Mini!

This is the completion of an idea that I had more than a decade ago, when Mini racing was really big here: a Mad Max-themed Mini. Everybody else does the black Mel Gibson 'last of the V8 Interceptors' version, so I thought I'd do the Pursuit version instead. I had my mate Willy Chang (of PandaGFX.com fame) make up some decals, and I thought I'd paint the rest. He duly came through with the decals (Pursuit across the boot, Main Force Patrol MFP's on the sides and the roof), as well as an RCMini number plate, so the rest was up to me.

That was a looooooong time ago! But this year, I finally got to painting the body, and I have to say I'm pleased with how it came out. The red, blue, and white stripes are all paint, as is the black front grille and main body colour. Further detail decals are limited to window surrounds, headlight surrounds, tail lights, and twin fuel fillers, Mini Cooper S style. The headlights also have my home-made light texture decals on the outside, with home-made LED buckets on the inside - will have to light them up one day!
Entry1.jpg
The chassis is a race-spec Tamiya M05 in SWB configuration, with the V2 chassis (to accommodate normal shaped LiPo packs). Full bearings throughout, oil shocks, alloy rear hubs, adjustable steering links. Also added some bling upgrades, with blue alloy steering, steering link, hi-torque servo saver, motor heatsink, and ball studs, and there is some sort of ball diff inside. Power comes from a racing-legal HobbyWing 13T brushless motor and ESC, with a HPI 2.4 receiver and Spektrum servo.
Entry2.jpg
The car is dumped low to the ground, which should make it a blast for racing..... it's probably too low for running in the street! Will have to take it to the track one day....

More pictures of the body painting process can be found in my TamiyaClub showroom here: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=136670&id=154.
