Short chassis T3?

I bought my T3 just when the long chassis became the kit standard, but came across a short chassis/battery hold down that had be used as a mid motor dirt oval car. Wondering if the short T3 is the rarest of the breed. No pictures as the chassis is still in deep storage, but the LWB chassis is drilled for a MSC, the short chassis is not. Still digging things out, pictures to follow. I'm back!

Been going through a bunch of B2/B3 stuff that was cheap when the mom and pop hobby shops were liquidating for cheap....wow, things have changed.

Is this short T3 chassis the same as a B3 chassis?

No, it is longer than a B3, but I cant find the part numbers for the short chassis or battery strap. Also don't know if there were carbon versions.

Here are the 4 chassis lengths that I know of.

7302 T3/B3/B2 Long composite
7308 T3 extra long composite
7309 T3 extra long carbon (same as 7308)
9198 B3 max length/T3 standard carbon (same as 7302)
9199 B2/B3 standard carbon
9200 B2/B3 standard composite
9201 B2/B3 short composite
9202 B2/B3 short carbon

They really added a curveball when they started not just using “long” or “short” but adding “b3 max length/t3 standard” type wording. It’s still a long chassis not a standard going by part number.

Thanks Jeff. I have got to dig out my B3/T3 chassis, I have the XL T3 in Carbon, as well as the composite from the kit. I also have the B2 SWB in carbon. I'll report my finds with measurements. Glad to have the three different battery straps in package. Carbon and composite. Boy this stuff used to be so cheap when the Mom and Pop LHS's discovered ebay as a way to get rid of old inventory. Seems like things have changed a bit recently....
