The "Brutus" is a 16 x 3, the "Killer" 14 x 2, "Insane" 15 x 2....this armature has a triple wind in it...so classic.
I also have the other two motors so this completes the collection....kinda like finding the holy grail only this is more important

Good to know. So the Brutus was the only triple wind of the original dry magnet yellow label Revolutions? Asking because I'm not sure if all of the first early Revolutions were all yellow labels or if any had their own specific labels like some of the later wet magnet Revolutions (like the Jr. Choice, MTM and Motown Missile).

Yes, of the dry mags it was...which again makes it so classic...once I get it it rebuilt gonna run it on my machine against the Trinity 17 x 3 I have in the 4:10, see if they are close in "no load" situations

Yes all of the early Revolution motors got the yellow label.
But the Brutus was not the only Triple wind.

The first motors released were the Oval which was a Triple 17T and a Double 19T which name I don´t remember currently.
Later there was the Insane and the Brutus.

My prototype motors were the Triple 16T which was the Brutus later. And a Double 18T which was maybe intended as a truck motor, but didn´t work for me.
My favorite motors were the Triple winds by far.

Then there were the Wet mag motors which also got the yellow label. I had the Wet Mag IV which was a Quint 16T wind.
After that Losi switched to the Trinity/Epic cans which got the coloured labels.
My first motor of this line was the Juniors Choice motor which was a Double 17T if I remember correctly. Was not a bad motor for 2WD.
Came with my JRX2 conversion kit.
Then bought the Single 12T Jack Johnson motor and the Big Ed Quad 15T.
Have most of those motors still in my collection.
Unfortunately the prototype 16T armature burned at some point but still have it.

Yesterday's local pickups....

1. A lot of transmitters and some 'plastic' bodies, price was free :D but I added some extra parts from my side for a good deal. Shame they're mostly missing battery doors, but oh well.

2. A HB Cyclone-S Drift Spec I picked up for AUS$80 (about US$55). Lots of extra parts and stuff, and plenty of bling. Previous owner blew the ESC, though.... glued the heatsinks on, with them touching

Local pickup on both means savings of about $50 on post :D :D :D

What just comes up to my mind.
Is there a small sign engraved to the faceplate of the motor?
This would tell what winding it is.

And once you put it together, it is worth twice as much on the used market, than it was when it was new. At least that is how the local market works here for them. Definitely on the list, but haven't found one near the deal it would need to be.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.
