It came with a couple of Kyosho motors that I'll probably add to my garage sale.

Mega motors don't get much respect.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 4:04 pm It came with a couple of Kyosho motors that I'll probably add to my garage sale.
And I already have both of those.

They won't be very high prices.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
After just about six weeks since ordering, the final parts arrived for my FX10 MT conversion. Of course, I was so excited to get them, I installed them without taking any pics. Overall good timing though, as it is suppose to rain all weekend, so good time to get to painting and hopefully finishing this one (of three) up.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I need to get a power converter so I can run it. This is the manual:TheDiamondOne wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 6:34 pmDoes it work like a dyno? It says that it needs a 25 amp power supply or battery.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 8:01 pmI need to get a power converter so I can run it. A power supply that big will be pricey. Even a modified server power supply won't be cheap. My 10 amp supply has trouble with mods but does okay with stocks.
I see the medium size 12V batteries at Walmart, Academy, and Tractor Supply for ~$20. That might be an option.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Yeah, I'm considering options. Keeping an extra lead acid battery around has its own set of problems. I wouldn't mind having a good 300w or higher power converter, but I don't know what a good brand is for those things. Lots of cheap-o options on Amazon that I don't trust. I should probably take this to a new thread:

I’d love to see the build as it progresses. What are you going to pull with it. The fuel tankers are awesome and you can buy aftermarket stickers like Texaco, Exxon, and You’ve Got Milk.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Latest haul from the local HobbyTown. Disassembled the Typhon 6s for a thorough deep cleaning and service the diffs. Found a bent lower A-arm hinge pin which broke the front suspension mount, so picked up replacements and some on-road tires.
Grabbed a ProTek 100SS servo to replace the meager Reedy 0712MG in the on-road RC10T4.
Latest edition, Reedy Pt Platnium 12x1.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Ah yes, those tanker trailers are AMAZING!! Not sure at the moment what I will pull with this truck. A flat bed is more versatile (and a lot cheaper). You can carry logs, pipes, spools or pallets or just about anything on a flat bed.
The chassis will be built per the manual (except for a couple little common sense mods) and there are dozens of build videos on youtube so I doubt that will post a full build here.
The body won't be boxart thought - I have something a bit different in mind for that. I'll post a few photos when it's finished.
