Got some Traxxas AM receivers. I got these for stupid cheap and couldn't pass them up. Plus, they are dead reliable.
Also got some stuff from AMain. Some tires, turnbuckles, and hardware for the FXT. A cheap body for another spare parts build, and several general supplies.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Prices for Revolution motors seemed to have hit a bit of a lull, so I picked up a couple of Insane Killer deals. And then FXT parts started arriving. I now have 1% of a truck! Oh, and a blue thing to cap it all off (thanks, much appreciated).

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Penguin body set (body/belt guides/wing) for my Bosscat. I am making it a runner. When I bought it, it came with a very well done box art body that I don't want to damage.
Spare set of XLS pro transmission belts for my Masami, which in retrospect, was a waste of money. Never heard of one breaking...but I have them. If one ever does break, it will be mine, such is my luck.
XLS kit front belt to have as a spare for the Bosscat. I don't have much faith in the long term survivability of the 30+ year old original belt in the car now. I plan to run a 10.5 brushless motor on 2S LiPo. It's not a ton of power, but possibly more than a 30 year old belt can sustain.
Hobbywing Justock 10.5 motor/ESC combo. I have an LRP Spin and Trinity Punisher 10.5 as well. One of those setups will go in the Bosscat. The other will go on the shelf in case Amain ever decides to allow me to own a Cougar. The Spin looks like an old brushed ESC, so I like it for a vintage buggy with modern power.
Pro CAT re-re shock mount, shock support, and wing mount to use as an upgrade on my XLS.

Right now I'm trying to limit myself to only starting a new project when I have an available project bin. Currently they are all occupied.

And what do you know, I got a surprise package from Ed as well. It wasn't necessary but is still appreciated.
I think that Ed caught on to that I kinda have a thing for Duratrax motors. I think it's just years of looking at the big adds in the Tower catalogs as a kid.

I've been keeping an eye out for the Oval on-road 12x3 Powerline for a few years now. My buddy's old man had that motor in his RC10L back then.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 9:15 pm I think that Ed caught on to that I kinda have a thing for Duratrax motors. One of those is the 12X3, although the label is missing a corner.
