Well crap, apparently for Pargu the wheels being Type A or Type B means they are also different size, not just different style. I wasn't looking to change to smaller 1.6" wheels with my Turbo Optima build.
. *edit: he responded quickly to my message and we worked out how to get me a replacement set in Turbo Optima size for a discounted price. Seems fair enough.

I don't know if it was on Ebay or not but I got this off a user on RCTech. It was kind of a impulse buy, I probably shouldn't have bought it but... On another note, anyone recognize the livery? I'm just curious on who owned the car before.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

The truck is a Kyosho XRT Sport edition. The chassis throws it off a bit because it is made out of an old STOP sign. Someone along the way broke the front bulkhead plate (XR-03H) and held the chassis together with an ingenious method.

I built one and had a build thread not long ago if you remember that. It's an awesome truck with an over-engineered weak trans which racers despised.
Here's the box art.

Not really RC related (but it can be
).
Got a 1/2 X 18" handheld belt sander (AKA, electric file). They were on sale over the holiday weekend and I kinda wanted one.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I got a Kyosho LeMans 360ST today to install in a 1980’s original Kyosho Pegasus. I recently finished a fresh scratch build of a New Pegasus with a 260ST LeMans motor and other upgrades. I am looking forward to comparing the two motors performance in twin setups.
Pegasus had independent suspension front and rear but front could be a bit flimsy but this new build buggy has the German Graupner metal ball cups instead of Japanese plastic and ESC also Ultima wheels/tires and ball bearings in wheels and gearbox. See attached images of new build. I am keeping the original Pegasus but might swap in the 260ST motor.
Any guesses on motor to keep?

Be careful with too much power in those cars. The dogbones and diff assembly are all plastic. Honestly, the standard 540 is plenty of power.
Also be careful when tightening the wheels. The rear axles break easily.

My first black chassis Traxxas. These came out in '97, so it still qualifies as a 20th century RC.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Got a Team Orion SV2, Speedworks Caliber, and a old Green Machine 1.
I actually made a offer on these about a month ago but it was declined. They never did sell and the price dropped to the same as my original offer, so I decided to get them.
Also got this Wiha Micro-Bit set. I only wanted the bits themselves but this was on sale for less.
The folding steel case is nice and an extra driver handle is always useful.
