Re: Barn find rc10gt?
Got the engine free. Needs servo mounts, axles, and lots of time on the bench. Also found a really good condition gt10 plus, left it at work. I'll post that one also. Think I might just pains up a body nice and mount those wicked tires on some fresh wheels. Something cool in the collection. I've got a few of these now but never really got the time to mess with them.

Re: Barn find rc10gt?
From my poking around here I'm trying to figure out what model GT this is. Only white parts on it are the towers. Maybe whoever had it changed the parts over. I'd like to just clean it up get it running. Won't ever be mint but it will look nice in the lineup.
I've got this black pan now, the GT plus, 2 blue chassis GT's (one is a parts car) and a GT2. Thought about building one of those ignite kits to have old new in the GT collection.

possible. When we had the LHS he knew I liked the white parts and he had a newish all white parts black pan and he did NOT like white parts so he paid me to change them all to black...which I was happy to do so like you said it should be that model but no telling if anything was replaced. It is a good addition to your timeline of rc10gt collection you got going.

Re: Barn find rc10gt?
Not sure of number off the top of my head. Probably four different numbers it could be, but yes, a basic sport model. If that engine is original which I would guess it is, then it's the pull-start-with-engine version, whichever number that was. The white towers are probably original. They were the last white part to go during the transition to black parts before the "96 GTII" upgrade that brought in the new towers and body, as well as other things, and lots of them came from the factory that way. Definitely worth a resto. They all are.
