Aftermarket top shaft - but what is it?

Post by Johanp »

Hi,

Got myself a parts car for a future project from a very helpful member here on Rc10talk. I have now stripped and cleaned it.

It has a top shaft that I´ve not seen before. Quite worn, but the previous owner used the car as his runner, so no surprise.

I was thinking Thorp, MIP or A&L.
Searching google for pictures I´m quite sure it is not Thorp.

Anyone that knows?

I have one of those from a parts car too.. Pretty sure it’s a Robinson Racing #8506

Looks like an A-Main Racing hard aluminum top shaft.

I think A-Main just repackaged parts from other manufacturers...especially in this case. I have both and they are identical.
