Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A Tami Mountaineer showed up today, with a complete body on its way in a few days. This completes the collection, of at least chassis, of the four 3-speeds. So, with this addition, I am declaring 2024 to the the year of the ladder frame. If it doesn't have one, I am not working on it.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Purdy Tami Mountaineer body showed up. Hope to have this thing doused in Easy Off in the next couple of days. Also got in a set of Blackfoot tires, which until last week, I did not realize, were the same as the 2nd gen 3speed (Bruiser / Mountaineer) tires, although a Blackfoot and a Bruiser are within my eyesight the entire time I am working all day.

Yep!! Tamiya, although fully aware that smaller 540 motors had the ability to trash multiple gears throughout the driveline of the 1st gen 3speeds, decided scr3w it, lets put a bigger, torquer, 750 in the 2nd gens!

It was made by an individual person not a company. Don’t remember his name, but if you google Associated GT5 you can find more info. To my knowledge there wasn’t a whole bunch of chassis sets made and that was a while ago. It took me a while to find a like new one for the shelf. If like new isn’t a priority PM me I have a couple more in raced condition I’ll happily let go of.

My first Schumacher motor! I was close to getting a Schumacher Reedy motor but missed out. This nice Flash 2 is very welcome to join my collection though. It seems similar to the Yokomo Super Wing series.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Picked this up over the weekend, with thanks to my good buddy Rob (@caesar)...
- Couple of Kyosho motors.
- Couple of GM Purple Bull motors
- 3Racing MG Evo Mini chassis with a stack of bodies. Looking forward to building up the MG Evo, as it's a bit more 'racy' than my usual Tamiya m-chassis runners. Got some nice upgrades with it, too. Have to go buy a spur gear for it today
